“Starburst” Cards.
Newspaper Taxi is proud to announce that we are now an exclusive stockist’s of .Kamal. Art on Paper. A superb range of letter pressed stationery with a sharp design.
Kamal made her debut at the 2009 NYC National Stationery Show to rave reviews. She was even voted “Best In Show” 2009 by Design*Sponge editor Grace Bonney.
Upon graduating from Pratt in NYC, Kamal worked in design studios by day and created her custom stationery by night. The birth of Art on Paper came from the heart and soul of inspiring moments today and everyday.
Her stationery collection is a love affair between paper, art and good impression. She describes the range as “A bold new taste of art… A spirited collection of exquisite cards to share your most intimate moments.”
Newspaper Taxi is the first Australian stockist of the .Kamal. Art on Paper range. We will showcase her beautiful collection of letter pressed gift cards and coasters including the “Pinwheel”, “Peacock” and “Starburst” range.
The vibrant cards are frame worthy and the coasters are so stunning you wouldn’t want to put your drink down and cover up them up!

We have a new range of cards from Vintage Greetings in Melbourne. They are lovingly handmade by vintage connoisseur Rebecca Ladds who uses actual pages from old story books, annuals, magazines and map’s to make each card unique. Rebecca believes that in a world where almost everything is mass produced and disposable, these cards are a lovely way to recycle, review and enjoy a quirky little piece of history all over again.

This week I received a few post packs with samples of new stock. Some really sweet letterpress cards from California and a gorgeous journal bound with vintage storybook illustrations from Feather Hunter Designs.

My friend Julia and I love Mexican food. Always have and always will. We said if ever we lived together, we would build a Mexican Shrine in our house. However, Julia now lives in London so it’s not going to happen any time soon. Anyhoo- We had it all planned out. Chilli shaped fairy lights, candles, pots of Cacti, sugar skulls and Milagros to honor Mexico’s vibrant culture and delicious food!
You too could build your very own shrine. We have a great range of mexican tin decorations, handmade ceramic skeleton figurines and candlesticks, tin framed mirrors, glitter shrine boxes and Frida Khalo mini wall shrines.
We also have a lovely selection of Mexican gift cards, colorful vintage wool knit rugs and enamel ware to complete the look!
