Memories and dust

Oh, my dear sweet little boys head has been sold.I’m sure that he will be well looked after but I miss him dearly.

I will always have pictures to remind me of the special little treasures that have come and gone.

I am in love with the incredible new PolaDROID software. I must sound like a corny T.V shopping reporter but “the results are just amazing”.

I was so inspired by Pia Bijkerks images and quickly followed suit by playing with this fantastic little piece of equipment.

Newtown Designers Markets

Newtown Designers Market is on this Sunday the 21st of December!

This little treasure trove of handmade goodness is the work of Liz & Caz, 2 very crafty & Newtown loving sisters. The girls were looking for another creative outlet which would also support indie designers, and Newtown Designers Market was born.

The designers featured at the monthly markets hand make or produce products in small runs. You’ll find a great range of fashion, jewellery, bags, accessories, stationery and art!

It’s the perfect place for some last minute christmas shopping and for a shopping trip pit stop head down Australia street for some yummy food. Delicios brunch at “Barmuda” or some sweet treats at “Black Star Pastry”. Don’t leave without trying their famous rose petal jam.

The markets are located upstairs in the “Newtown Neighbourhood Centre” outside the “Hub” at the end of Australia street opposite Newtown train station.

Paper place

Here is my little paper postcard house. I made it the other day and when I have time I would like to make a little village!

Here are some lovely new cushions that we have in the shop. They are hand stitched vintage cotton lace on navy corduroy. I would be happy to keep them for inspiration but I don’t think they will be in store for very long.

Uh oh, I just fell in love with these little mushroom people made by Tamar Mogendorff, stitch extraordinaire!
Tamar’s dolls are peerlessly beautiful and radiate extraordinary emotional power. They are hand-stitched from linens, mohair wool, cotton, vintage fabrics, tweed, antique embroidery, pashmina and other fabrics, and incorporate antique and vintage buttons, beads, silver thread and old ribbons.

We put together a lovely table display of porcelain, glassware and our new range of notebooks and writing sets. So pretty!
