Lots of new stock in store at Newspaper Taxi, I have been busy painting, shuffling and re-styling the store. Trying to fit all the new stock in! Lots of pretty bright colours to spruce up the house after a good spring clean.

Nathalie Lété framed print and vintage bird house.

Vintage world map and paper boat garland.

Vintage blankets and enamelware.

I’m in LOVE with the Lace curtains, silk pillow shams and piano shawl on the back wall. My friend Harriet just came in and exclaimed how pretty it looks. We want girly whirly vintage style bedrooms just like this.

My friend Julia and I love Mexican food. Always have and always will. We said if ever we lived together, we would build a Mexican Shrine in our house. However, Julia now lives in London so it’s not going to happen any time soon. Anyhoo- We had it all planned out. Chilli shaped fairy lights, candles, pots of Cacti, sugar skulls and Milagros to honor Mexico’s vibrant culture and delicious food!
You too could build your very own shrine. We have a great range of mexican tin decorations, handmade ceramic skeleton figurines and candlesticks, tin framed mirrors, glitter shrine boxes and Frida Khalo mini wall shrines.
We also have a lovely selection of Mexican gift cards, colorful vintage wool knit rugs and enamel ware to complete the look!

Mexican dolls and tin framed wall mirror.

Ceramic candle sticks and skeleton figurines.

Some new stock in store at Newspaper Taxi. One of my favorite pieces is this beautiful leather bound tape measure.

Rusted autumn leaves from antique chandeliers, tarnished teapots, wooden boxes and vintage mirrors make for a great winter palette.

Just in time for Mothers Day, we have some really lovely new cards in store. They are hand printed in Buenos Aires and come with sweet brown envelopes made from recycled paper.
Morris and Essex designer Eliza Jane Curtis finds inspiration for her vibrant designs in daydreams and the art deco style architectural details of Buenos Aires. You can even have a sneak peek at her beautiful house which was featured on Design*Sponge.
As a few of my customers have already found, they are the type of card that you buy with someone in mind but never gets given away…

For those of you who have a good imagination and a love for the little broken beauties of this world then we have a treat for you.
The shop has a great selection of architectural pieces from antique french chandeliers, furniture and fixtures.
But be quick, our customers are a bevy of artists, stylists and creative souls. These sorts of things get snapped up very quickly!
