Country Harvest Cards

We have some really special gift sets in store. Letter pressed cards that feature fruit and vegetables!. Do you have a foodie friends birthday coming up? These cards are just adorable as a thoughtful present for a green thumbs birthday or they would make a lovely thank you gift for a dinner party.

We also have some delightful hot plate holders which are handmade from original vintage quilt squares. These were made just for Newspaper Taxi and are one of my favorite items in store! They just make me want to bake some fresh banana bread so I can have an excuse to use such a sweet little kitchen accessory.

We also have more of the handmade pincushion birds because the first flock flew out the door. Some of these were specially made from vintage table cloths to suit a brighter interior. We still have a good selection of the grubbier tea stained colonial fabric birds for those of us who are channelling J.Morgan Puett.

We also have a whole bunch of vintage ribbon from America. Spools and spools of delicious retro candy striped grosgrain and rayon gingham. These are original rolls not reproductions. They are “New” old stock which came from an old haberdashery store in the USA.

Being a stones throw away from a patisserie (which is rather dangerous) I popped out to get myself some afternoon tea… I couldn’t resist a Summer Berry Tart with Mango from Black Star Pastry. They are so delicious, Chris and his team create the most amazing sweet treats but I think this one is my favorite.

It disappeared rather quickly and one of the big blackberries tumbled a stain down the front of my dress…Oh Dear!
