Lucky numbers
Posted on Thursday, November 20th, 2008 at 1:19 amWe have some great new stock at the moment and I had lots of fun restyling the shop and adding all the new bits and pieces.
My favorites are the old croquet field numbers. The metal ones are all chipped and lovely and the wooden ones are a little scuffed so I sanded the edges smooth and now they are distressed to perfection.
They would look super cute on a desk or you could even use them as a house number.
My other favorite is the ceramic child’s head. He is the sweetest little prince.
I don’t think he will be in the shop for very long. A friend of mine was looking at him yesterday, imagining him perched on a mantle or arranged on top of a bedside table.
I have him set as a still life on top of some old books, scattered with dried rose petals and old copper coins.
